Dr. Dena Sapanaro
Dr. Dena Sapanaro is a NJ transplant. Originally from Rockland County, NY, she spent most of her teenage life in Bergen County, NJ. Dr. Dena, as many of her patients like to call her, received a B.S. in Biology from Rutgers University and an M.S. in Biology from Montclair State University.
Dr. Dena earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery at New York University's College of Dentistry, where she also completed specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Sapanaro then went on to complete another residency program in Dental Anesthesia at The University of Pittsburgh. Throughout her post-graduate education, Dr. Sapanaro developed a love of outreach dentistry and has traveled both internationally and domestically to provide dental care to children in need.
Dr. Sapanaro is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is board eligible for the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and National Dental Board of Anesthesia. She also spends some of her time teaching sedation to the pediatric dental residents at New York University College of Dentistry.
In her free time, Dr. Dena likes cooking, working out, and spending time with her fiancé and her family. Dr. Sapanaro’s goal is for every child to have a positive and enjoyable experience at the dentist's office.
